《This is us》是由丹·福格尔曼编剧，约翰·里夸和格伦·费卡拉执导。
该剧讲述了同一天生日的人们不同的生活，各种琐碎的生活小事，最后串联起一个家庭的悲欢离合。
一部剧短短18集，没有跌宕起伏惊心动魄的故事剧情。
只是在轻微摇晃且略带有纪实感的镜头下，记录着种种平淡而细小的生活，真实而细腻，就如同发生在你我身边。
生活的琐碎，最终构筑成了生活本身。
每个人都有属于自己的生活与故事，我们可能在某个节点会有意外的相似。
但生活终究是自己的，你既在故事里面，也在故事之外。
就像《我们这一天》中每个人的经历一样：
无论是凯特甩不掉的体重，还是凯文职业生涯的郁郁不得志，或是新手父母在教育子女问题上的手足无措。
看似毫无关联的几个人，都有着各自的烦恼；
彼此之间的共同点就是：他们同一天生日，而且都是36岁。
《我们这一天》中很少有撕心裂肺的大喜大悲，但每一次峰回路转，都温暖得触及内心。
