Willing hearts day 3

Washing black beans was my first task. No one instructed me how to wash two heavy bags of beans, luckily I am quite smart. I used a bowl to scoop beans into a basket and washed the dirt away  . After washing beans , I put them into a clean basket. So the wet beans emit a glistening luster.

After washing beans , I was given the task to roast peanuts by putting peanuts on trays, roasted them in a heating machine and the chef ground those peanuts into powder ( thicker than powder). Those powder was used as seasoning in salads. To make the salad, i need to stir a few vegetables together which were in shape of stripes. With the addition of white vinegar, sesame oil, salt, sugar and peanut powder, South East Asian salad was done.

Our lunch was rather cool! Tuna cheese bread and a big beef ball.

Besides, we had afternoon snack — Cheese ball

In the afternoon, I cut cucumber, sprayed rosemary butter on bread, made more salads. Then I helped workers from a company to pack bento boxes.

I saw a worm in the cucumber, I was so shocked, those cucumbers would be eaten rawly by the elderly. If I had not spotted the worm, something serious would happen.

Lastly, I realized that many

foreigners would come and help at Willing Hearts, maybe they need the certificate too. People with different skin colors work together for the welfare of the less privileged , this is a good symbol of civilization.
