How to Write a Response to Reviewers in Ten Easy Steps【1】。
Lenski:Copy all ofthe reviewers’ comments into a new document
[if !supportLists]2. [endif]感谢
Lenski:Write ashort note of thanks to the reviewers and the editor at the top, above all oftheir comments.
[if !supportLists]3. [endif]字体
Lenski:Use adifferent font (bold or color) for your responses, to make them easy for theeditor (and reviewers, if the paper is returned to them for re-review) to find.
[if !supportLists]4. [endif]草稿
Lenski:Draft aquick response to each comment.
[if !supportLists]5. [endif]再感谢
Lenski:Reviewersoften begin by providing a synopsis of your paper. Thank the reviewers (again, after the synopsis) for their summary and kind remarks, when appropriate. There’s no need to write anything more after the synopsis, unless there’s asubstantive misunderstanding of an important point that comes up again in alater comment. In that case, you might say something like “Thank you forthis summary of my/our paper. However, you may have misunderstood one point, about such and such, that I/we address in response to your comment below.”
[if !supportLists]6. [endif]积极
Lenski:Try to viewevery comment as constructive.
comments。
[if !supportLists]7. [endif]多次
Lenski:Pay specialattention to comments where two (or more) reviewers comment on the same issue.
[if !supportLists]8. [endif]兼听
Lenski:Once you’vegot a draft response, share it with your co-authors (if any) to see whetherthey are on board with your resonses or have other suggestions.
[if !supportLists]9. [endif]耐心
Lenski:You’llprobably find that some text is trickier to edit than you thought in your draftresponse. For example, new sentences to address a reviewer’s concernmight disrupt the existing flow. That’s the scholarly life: carefulworking and reworking are needed at every stage.
[if !supportLists]10. [endif]页码
Lenski:Whenappropriate, add page numbers (from the revised paper).
[if !supportLists]11. [endif]格式
Lenski:Bonusadvice! Check out the journal’s instructions for authors.
