Magic shoes

In South Africa there is a boy named Phil. Phil was born in a poor family, his mother died when he was young, he lives with his dad. Phil has two little sisters and one little brother. Their family makes a living only depend on the father.

Phil likes playing basketball and he wants to join NBA just like his idol Michael Jordan. But he can only think about it. Phil's high school intends to form a basketball team. Although he wants to join in eagerly, but he is too short, he just can’t meet the basic criteria.

One day, Phil went to town to get some daily groceries, he found a carton at the corner of a house. What would it be? He wondered and opened the carton carefully. There was a pair of basketball shoes. “That’s amazing. I’m so lucky.” Phil said to himself.

There was a NBA game this week. Phil’s father bought four tickets for the whole family at a special price. At half time, the team boss chose one lucky audience to interact with NBA stars, and Phil was so lucky to be chosen. Phil was excited about meeting his idol whose name is Jordan. However his idol didn’t even look at him, which Phil didn't care too much at first. But Phil couldn’t bear all the laughter and sneers “You, little fat boy”. Phil said “I'll give you some color see see”. Phil took Jordan's basketball, first made the dribbling movement, and then hit a three-point shot. Phil flew to the backboard to get the tall, all of a sudden, he made a slang duck, which shocked everyone at that moment. The whole stadium had gone quiet, but before long, a round of applause waved to Phil. He won the game of his basketball show.

“This pair of shoes are magical, I can dunk, I can shoot three-point which is impossible.” Phil whispered happily.

A week later, an NBA team came to Phil's home and wanted to sign a contract with this short boy. Phil never dreamed that he could go to NBA. After getting the contract, Phil became wealthy, he has bought many toys and snacks for his younger brother and sisters, and also bought a better house for his family.

In the first match, Phil led his team to victory. He still wore those basketball shoes which he had picked up in the small town. That night, an old man came out of Phil’s shoes. He walked carefully towards Phil and said to the child “wake up wake up”. Phil opened his eyes slowly and asked vaguely, “who are you?”  

“I’m the gold , the reason why you can play so well is that I am helping you. I give you the energy and I can make you one of the top players in NBA. Beacuse, I waited at the corner of the town for a long time. No one brought me home. Only you did, you made me feel warm. Let me pay back to your kindness.”

“What？” Phil went back to sleep agin.

The next day, there was a very important game. As Phil remembered what the old man said last night, he changed his shoes to play. He is completely incapable after changing the shoes, just like a newly born chick who can't fly. He wanted to finish the game on his own ability, but he couldn't go back to change his shoes. After a while, he rushed to the dressing room. He changed to another person as he changed back his original shoes. He could dunk, the more accurate he threw, and finally he won the match. 

Some people noticed the trick, and try to stop Phil from succeeding. Soon some teams joined together, and hired some black men to steal Phil's shoes. When the black man came to Phil’s home. They searched every corner carefully, and finally found the magic basketball shoes under his bed, they took the shoes away.                

The next day, after Phil got up, he went training with the team. He looked for and didn’t find his sneakers. “How can I play without it?” Phil said helplessly.

Phil got to the court with a great depression. It was time for the game, and Phil was getting more and more anxious. He squinted, and a man came close to him. It was you, the old man in the magic shoes. “Tell me what I should do now. I am about to play. “ asked Phil. The old man said, “you bring your sneakers.” After a while, the shoes came, and the old man went in. Phil, who put on the magic shoes, felt full of energy and confidence. The broadcaster shouted, "this is the seventh game in the NBA finals, we win the championship, or we go home." 

The referee started a whistle and the game started. Phil  was holding a ball, a person passes three people, hits the basket.The fans cheered Phil MVP Phil MVP.The whole field was boiling …..

At half time, Phil was tire， he picked up his cell phone and checked his messages. He saw many great basketball skills in the video, and the more he watched and hte more he became fascinated. So the magic shoes are powerful, in the second quarter competition, his super strong feeling and the coordination among the team, they have made a very big difference with their opponents. Phil cheered with his teammates. The champion is ours. 

When the game came to the last quarter, Phil’s shoes were broken. He had to stop the game and to change another pair of shoes. Without the magic shoes, he is like a soldier who has no armor and no morale. After a short while, the difference  between the two teams is narrowed one by one, and the chance for Phil's team to win the championship is smaller. The audience was at a shock. At that very moment, Phil snatched the microphone and said to everyone, “Listen to me, and listen to me. In fact, I could play well because I had a pair of magic shoes. But now I don’t and I'm nothing now. I just want to say sorry to all of you.”

It turned into the applause and cheer the sound of the audience. The teammate patted Phil’s shoulder and said, "The match is not over yet. We won't give up even before the last second. We'll get together and say fighting."        

Under the great encouragement of his teammates, Phil had a better situation, but the opponent was too tall, and Phil couldn't see the basket at all. But he used the advantage of his teammates to pass the dunk 3 2 1.                  

The game ended, Phil’s team won, the stadium cheered, they did it, Phil finally made the dream come true.

   The next day,Phil's state held high school leagues.He wants to join in,but he is too short,so he can’t.

   There is a NBA game this week ,Phil’s father buys four tickets.Because there is a special price .In half time,The team boss picked lucky viewers to interact with NBA stars. Phil was lucky to be chosen .Phil was nervous about seeing his image.His image named jordan .Today, He wore the last shoe that he had picked up.The basketball player not looking at him,But Phil doesn't care about it.At first,,Jordan went to tease him and told him about the little fart boy.But,Phil said I'll make you my backboard, Phil took Jordan's pass, first made the dribbling movement, and then shook Jordan, struggling to dunk more. 

   Suddenly, the court was quiet,after, The roar of applause spread go the rounds court.Phil win the game.
