Solar Impulse(太阳脉动), a solar-powered plane, completed the longest, transpacific（跨太平洋的 ）leg（航程） of its round-the-world journey（环球旅行）. The 72-metre-wide craft, powered by 17,000 photovoltaic cells（ 光电池）on its wings and fuselage（机身）, has broken several solo- and long-flight records. It began its trek（征途） in Abu Dhabi in March 2015 but had been grounded in Hawaii for eight months of repairs after its batteries overheated.
