Some questions I need to answer
07/07/2017
Some questions confused me so much recently. I tried my best to find the answers by myself. But I failed. Writing is a good way to help me think about. Here are my puzzles:
1. How to choose a career?
Nobody teaches me how to choose a career in college. I haven't read a book which tell: "Hey, boy, you have to think about your career when you are in college." I a fresh gradutate. I realize that I don't know how to choose a career after graduation. My parents suggest that I should be a doctor. In my deep heart, I don't want to be a doctor. So I will refer to their advice rather than follow them. I have time to figure it out while still young.
2. What's my life purpose is?
I have a belief that I will be strong man. To be strong means I am mentally and financially independent and I can help others to grow. This is my ultimate goal. But now, I don't have a clear purpose, such as to be a writer, a computer programmer or a painter. This leads to the third question.
3. What's the edge of my competence?
I learn this from Charlie Munger. It's very important to one's competence. He will know which direction to go if he knows it. These all three questions is about life meaning. In the end, I want to share a quote from Victor Frankl:
the last of the human freedoms -- to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way.
2. Three moments of joy
27/30
Moment 1: I finished all the last 8 years Gaokao English test paper.
Moment 2: I developed some new ways to improve my writing.
Moment 3: My English listening comprehension has enormously improved. But I don't know how to use this ability.
