Lesson 5 No wrong numbers
Mr.James Scott has a garage in Silbury and now he has just bought another garage
in Pinhurst. Pinhurst is only five miles from Silbury, but Mr. Scott cannot get
a telephone for his new garage, so he has just bought twelve pigeons.
Yesterday, a pigeon carried the first message from Pinhurst to Silbury. The
bird covered the distance in three minutes. Up to now, Mr. Scott has sent a
great many requests for spare parts and other urgent messages from one garage
to the other. In this way, he has begun his own private telephone service.
Lesson 6 Percy Buttons
I have just moved to a house in Bridge Street. Yesterday a beggar knocked at my
door. He asked me for a meal and a glass of beer. In return for this, the beggar
stood on his head and sang songs. I gave him a meal. He ate the food and drank
the beer. Then he put a piece of cheese in his pocket and went away. Later a
neighbor told me about him. Everybody knows him. His name is Percy Buttons. He
calls at every house in the street once a month and always asks for a meal and
a glass of beer.

知识笔记：跟着录音学习语调，重音，断句的不同。虽然跟读的时候能够跟随它的语调断句，但自己读的时候又是平淡无奇……还得好好练一下~
练习感悟：这两天有点忙。昨天就忙到晚上一点才睡，今天又是忙了一天。。刚刚很想躺床上玩玩手机睡个觉，玩一半的时候想起来英语还没读。。虽然心里有个声音告诉我“干脆明天再读吧~”。但我拒绝了它~哇塞！这可是个巨大的进步呢！赶紧夸自己一下！这样才有动力继续坚持！！！！！！
另外，自己学的真的太随缘了。。。。除了英语以外，现在又堆了很多必须学的待办事项。有的优先级也非常高。我得先好好排一排~
