①As it is vividly shown in the first picture, a father is leisurely

watching TV programs with a smoking cigarette between fingers and urging

his son to study hard,leaving the little boy unable to concentrate on

his study. ②By contrast,in the second picture, both of them are devoting

themselves to studies. ③And a sentence below says it is rewarding to

educate bypersonal examples rather than mere lectures.

①In fact, two critical factors are involved here—family education and the effect of examples. ②Accordingly, two worthwhile things are supposed to be noticed. ③Firstly, action speaks louder than words. ④For family education, parents should value the power of examples,not only because children tend to get bored or even disgusted with endless lectures, but also because they would be more confident as well as convinced to behave well if they see their parents do the same things as they do. ⑤Secondly,good examples matter. ⑥Like father, like son. ⑦Parents should intentionally avoid negative behaviors, given that children are not immune to bad influences for they do not have full-fledged judgement and values.

①A ubiquitous belief is that parents are best teachers for children. ②Decent family education can have continuing and significant influence throughout a person’s whole life. ③Consequently, parents should educate children by setting positive personal examples.
