This bar chart shows how dependent people of different ages are on TV. As can be seen from this chart, the general trend is that people rely more on TV as they get older. People over 62 are the most dependent on television, with nearly 45 percent of this age group saying they can't live without it.But only 18 percent of the 18 to 26 respondents did. The proportion of people aged 27 to 40 who rely on television has increased by seven per cent, the proportion of those aged 41 to 50 who believe they cannot leave the television has risen by 12 per cent, and the proportion of those aged 51 to 61 has risen to 36 per cent.
