Today is Thanksgiving Day. I have been thankful that I have spent the first real Thanksgiving in the United States. I think it's a gift from heaven.
On Thanksgiving Day, all Americans have a holiday. Few stores open, except McDonald's and Starbucks. So our California State University, long Beach, gave us a day off. We had the perfect schedule for today.
First stop, Santa Monica Beach.
Santa Monica is a city of Los Angeles County, California, on the Pacific Ocean west of Los Angeles. It is a resort and residential area. The population in 2008 was 87664. Its beaches for the famous coastal attractions the beach has a pier extended to the sea. There is an amusement park above the pier, the park has Ferris wheel, roller coaster and other facilities. I am not good at taking pictures ,but I can make wallpaper out of the scenery. The blue sky, white clouds, sea and sand beaches, how beautiful they are. Here we first came to a place full of pigeons, pigeons are not afraid of people here, and they may have seen too many visitors from all over the world .Only a few naughty children, suddenly startled them ,and they will rise and fly.
After crossing a bridge, we walked to the landmark Santa Monica 66 terminal, where many people took photos, and we clocked in to mark the occasion.
Next we met an Australian brother who was also a tourist in Santa Monica, with begging passers-by and locals pushing wagons to sell souvenirs. There are also very old, but still come to vacation, show the love of each other.
The second stop is the USC
Our tour guide said that this school is extremely formidable, the University of Southern California (University of Southern California), referred to as the University of Southern California (USC), is the oldest leading private research university on the West Coast of the United States.
A world-renowned institution of higher learning, located in Los Angeles, California, USA, founded by the Board of Supervisors in 1880. It is a member of the American Association of Universities (AAU) and the Union of Universities of the Pacific Rim. The number of colleges in USU ranks among the top 10 in the United States.
The Academy of Motion Picture and the School of Journalism rank first in the United States, and the School of Public Policy ranks second. Dong Qing and Zheng Shuang's sister have both studied here. The most famous alumni are George Lucas, the director of the Star Wars series, and Ben Bout, the sound master, and Ron Howard, the director of the Da Vinci Code. Robert Zermigis, director of Forrest Gump, and David Ledger, director of the Chocolate Factory. Volp. Because USC is very close to Hollywood and has the world's top Academy of Film, Film and Arts, the USC campus scene is used in thousands of films, TV, commercials, and MV. Because of its historic brick buildings and ivy-school-like landscaping, the university is already the location most often used by filmmakers to "play" other universities, such as Harvard and Oxford in film and television. In the film the Southern Cascade includes Forrest Gump, Jinfa, Halla on the Road, Girl next door, Devil buster, and graduates.
The third stop is Hollywood Walk of Fame.
On his way to Hollywood Walk of Fame, he saw the location of Staples Stadium. Then, after seeing the Hollywood sign billboard, which is often seen on television, the car slowly drove into the Avenue of Stars in front of it. The Avenue of Stars is very different from the TV show, and many artists do not want to leave their names here. Just because the name is written on the ground, being trampled by people, but it is very difficult to keep it now.
There are a lot of cosplay, but if a black person gives you a CD, never take it,
If someone wants to take a picture WITH you, Be sure to refuse, because they will ask you for expensive money.
The Superman is said to be the most original Superman the tour guide said he had ever seen.
Inside the Dolby Theater, we visited the red carpet route that celebrities take to the annual Academy Awards.
Happy thanksgiving day!
