写在前面的话
打卡分享老友记学习已经到第八期了，最开始想要做这个分享的目的有两个。第一个是督促自己学习，通过让更多的人来见证，逼自己每天更新。第二个目的是分享。看过很多大神的书，都讲到了分享的重要性。知识的分享不仅不会让分享者失去什么，反而可以让其更好地掌握和应用这些知识。
于是我开始走上了学习和分享老友记完整英语字幕，翻译和解析的道路。记得有一个简友曾经评论我说，是给自己挖了一个大坑，还说天涯上曾经有人想这样做过，但是没有坚持下来。我不敢说自己会一直坚持下去，但是我会一直尽全力去做。
本期分享
第一季第一集的老友记的翻译和解析已经完全结束了。前边的几期我也分享过如何去真正掌握一集老友记 我是如何看老友记学英语的 - 我的四步学习法分享 （006），如何应用到生活当中看老友记学英语 (007) - 如何把英语学习轻松融入到日常生活中去，这一期我要分享一下真正理解，熟记，融会贯通一集老友记到底会产生什么样的效果。
一 可以开口就来最基本的口语
在开始学习老友记之前我学英语的方式是每天听VOA， BBC等的实时英语听力，遇到生词记下来，定期复习。我自己都觉得自己很努力，想当然地以为就这样学下去一定会进步很快。后来发生了一件事，彻底颠覆了我的想法。
有一次我们美国的客户来中国访问，有一天晚上领导安排我们几个陪客户吃饭。结果饭桌上看其他同事都和客户用英语流利地侃侃而谈，我却一句话都插不上。因为我的脑子里只有一个一个的生词，而日常口语用语竟然一句话都找不出来。
这件事情让我印象特别深刻，不仅是因为当时饭桌上的尴尬， 更因为我发现自己的学习方法可能真的有问题。于是我开始思考和探索最实用和用效的英语学习方式，才一路走到了这里，选择了最贴近我们日常生活的老友记作为教材来学习。
后来按照我用我分享过的方法学习完一整集以后，我突然发现自己可以开口就来一些最基本的生活用语了。比如说，gonna, wanna, gotta的用法，这些都是母语者最最常用的单词，但是由于是非正式的口语单词，所以我们的教材和一些听力网站上是不会有的。
但是老友记上所有的用语都是最经典和常用的表达方式，过了这么多年依然历久弥新，这一点我在第一期的分享和我一起看老友记学英语吧 - 从第一季第一集开始 （001）中也提到过。
二 极大地提高了我的发音
我以前也问过一个我们公司的老外同事，该如何提高自己的口语发音，他给的建议是坚持听，创造一个听觉上的语言环境。他还给我举了一个他的一个法国朋友通过听英文广播发音特别棒的例子。
我开始学习老友记以来，每一集基本上会重复听很多很多遍，其中有些表达的语音语调几乎可以很轻松地模仿下来，所以当我说其它的英语的时候，就会不自觉地套用了剧中人物的语音和语调， 会让人听起来比较地道一些。
三 丰富了我的词汇量和情景用语
熟练掌握一集老友记就相当于是把自己代入到他们的生活场景中去，在以后的生活中如果遇到了类似的场景就可以把对应的表达经过转换为己所用。
举两个我遇到的例子， 有一次组里的同事在讨论自己的相亲经历，于是谈到了遇到的各种各样的奇葩男，后来就谈到了英语中变态男，奇葩男怎么说。我马上想到了老友记有一集是三个女生举办了一个烧毁前男友相关的东西的仪式。其实有很多描写奇葩男的用法，如creepy guy, geek，jerk等等。
第二个是在一个饭桌上，欢迎一个美国新同事，我们的一个领导在介绍中国人的餐桌文化，她想表达喝酒前都要说几句，但说了半天没说明白，我马上想到了老友记中出现的toast这个词，随口说了出来，老外同事表示听懂了。
接下来是老友记第一集最后部分的译文和解析
Monica:Oh wait,wait, unless you happened to catch the Reruns' production of Pinocchio, at the little theater in the park.
译文：哦，等等，除非你碰巧在公园的小剧场了看了皮诺曹的重播。
解析和应用：rerun再开动；重播的影片；重新上映。这里我们可以想到以前每个暑假都会重播的西游记啊。
Joey:Look, it wasa job all right?
Chandler:'Look, Gippetto,I'm a real live boy.'
Joey:I will nottake this abuse. (Walks to the door and opens it to leave.)
译文：那也是一个工作好吗？
瞧，盖佩多，我是个活生生的小男孩。
我不会理睬这种羞辱。
解析和应用：abuse的用法：Child abuse虐待儿童；physical abuse躯体虐待
Chandler:You'reright, I'm sorry. (Burst into song and dances out of the door.) "Once I
was a wooden boy, a little wooden boy..."
译文：你说得对,抱歉。我曾是个小木偶……小木偶……
Joey:You shouldboth know, that he's a dead man. Oh,Chandler? (Starts afterChandler.)
译文：告诉你们，他死定了。
解析和应用：如果有人惹到你了也可以说“you are a dead man”。后边一集中还有一个类似的表达方式，Chandler喜欢上了一个女孩，天天等她电话，Monica发出电话的声音逗他，他说“Hell is filled with people like you.”
Monica:So how youdoing today? Did you sleep okay? Talk to Barry? I can't stop smiling.
译文：今天感觉如何？睡得还好吧？和巴瑞通过电话吗？我无法停止笑。
Rachel:I can seethat. You look like you slept with a hanger in your mouth.
译文：我看得出来。你这样子像是昨晚口中含着衣架睡的觉。
解析和应用：sleep with a hanger in your mouth,这是一个非常形象的比喻。大家可能都有这种感觉，刚开始谈恋爱的时候真的可以不由自主地笑起来。所以这里是非常贴和生活情境的。
Monica:I know, he'sjust so, so... Do you remember you and Tony DeMarco?
Rachel:Oh, yeah.
Monica:Well, it'slike that. With feelings.
Rachel:Oh wow. Areyou in trouble.
Monica:Big time!
Rachel:Want awedding dress? Hardly used.
译文：我知道，他是那么……还记得你和东尼戴马克？

就像那样。那样感觉。

解析和应用：两个用法我们可以学习到，Are you in trouble和big time. Are you in trouble,你惹上大事了，这里是一种比喻，形容遇到真命天子了。big time,大大地，很大程度上。如表达你真是帮了我大忙，就可以说，You helped mebig time.
Monica:I think weare getting a little ahead of selves here. Okay. Okay. I am just going to getup, go to work and not think about him all day. Or else I'm just gonna get upand go to work.
译文：我想我们扯得有点远了。我要站起来，去工作。整天都不想他，或者只是站起来然后去工作
解析和应用：可以借鉴get ahead of selves的用法。
Rachel:Oh, look,wish me luck!
Monica:What for?
Rachel:I'm gonna goget one of those (Thinks) job things.
译文：-祝我幸运！为什么？我要去找工作。

解释和应用：Parrot 鹦鹉可以联想到 carrot胡萝卜,对比记忆。

译文：认识保罗吗？

解释和应用：to take credit for sth把某事归功于某人

译文：显然这是套路。
为什么？为什么所有人都会那样做？
解释和应用：it was a line!很多人会问这个line是不是错了，应该是lie。我也困惑过，后来找到合理的解释应该是：line有“台词”的意思，在加上这句话是joey说的，他是个演员，所以这里的line是台词的意思，而不是谎言。也就是Paul对每个人都会这么说。
Ross:I assumewe're looking for an answer more sophisticated than 'to get you into bed'.
Monica:I hatemen! I hate men!
译文：我想你在找一个比”设法骗你上床”更复杂的答案。
我恨男人！我恨男人！
解释和应用：sophisticated复杂的，记得我学完这个单词的第二天上班的时候开会，我们领导就用到了这个词，我的后背是一身冷汗，要是早一天不明白他的意思就完了。
Phoebe:Oh no, don'thate, you don't want to put that out into the universe.
Monica:Is it me? Isit like I have some sort of beacon that only dogs and men with severe emotionalproblems can hear?
译文：不，别恨，你不能把这种信号发射出宇宙中去。
问题出在我身上？难道我会发出某种信号只有狗和感情有严着问题的男人才能听到。
解释和应用：beacon的用法，当你喜欢上一个人，就可以说，I took him as a beacon of hope.我把他当成希望的灯塔。

解释和应用：两个表达方式。
1.be trained for nothing -什么都不会，不学无术。读书的时候班上总有几个后进生被老师骂成be trained for nothing。
2. be laughed out of表现太差，太出丑，被笑话

译文：不过你却异常兴奋。
换成是你，你也会一样。如果你遇见John and David的皮靴打五折。

解释和应用：upbeat乐观的；向上的，Be an upbeatperson, listen to some upbeat music.

Rachel:Um... my...father.
