Chapter 14: Dr. Dorian
One day after breakfast, Fern helped her mother drying the dishes which her mother had washed. Mrs. Arable didn't want Fern to spend too much time in Mr. Zuckerman's barn. But Fern told Mrs. Arable the story that Charlotte had told her, which was about that Charlotte's cousin had caught a fish with her web. Mrs. Arable became more anxious about Fern's mind and she thought it was necessary to ask Dr. Dorian whether it was normal or not. After Dr. Dorian had known what Fern had done, he told Mrs. Arable that even he was a doctor who should have known everything, he actually didn't know anything about animals. But he preferred to believe Fern's sayings. Children are easier to hear something strange than grown-ups. And he knew the miracle about the pig and the spider's words in the web. He asked Mrs. Arable how the living of Fern was like and told her to be patient. Everything would be fine as time goes by.
