Duckworth .She is an American academic,psychologist and popular science author.From the book, I learned that grit is passion and perseverance for every long term goals .Grit is having stamina . Grit is sticking with your failure ,day in ,day out, not just for the week ,not just for the month ,but for years and working really hard to make that failure a reality.Grit is living life like it's a marathon not a sprint.
After reading the book ,I thought about myself. Am I a grit person? I know I am not talented .and talent doesn't make us gritty.but I am diligent and I never give up.I work hard to make myself better.Through my hard work,I became a teacher.And to be a teacher is my dream job.At school I work with students.they are always young and active.and the most important thing is that I have two long vacations with salary.After working a few years, I found that teachers are not easy jobs.though i'm grit but some of my students are not.How can I help them build grit and as a teacher what do i do to teach students a solid work ethic? During my work I usually tell them about diligent and other good things .Learning English is difficult for some of my students,I tried different kinds of ways to let my class more interesting and teach them some learning skills ,however ,it doesn't work much.so it's a long way for me to search more ways to help the students learn English well. No matter how hard it is, I will never give up.
