I have watched the movie The Pursuit of Happyness for twice, but I have different feelings every time.This movie tells us a story about the process of an ordinary person becoming a successful stock broker.Chris Gardner was a common American who makes a living by selling bone scanners.However, it's not easy to sell the machine.He is in and out of the hospital all day while can scarcely sell a machine in recent two months.Nevertheless, the turning point seems to appear that Chris gets a chance for internship in a securities agency for six months by chance.However, he must work for free during this six months and finally only one person can be employed.To make mattes worse, Chris's wife left him and he lost his house because of poverty.He must continue to sell scanners to earn money while he is working for the securities agency and he still need to queue up in cathedral for a residence every day.Difficult as life is, Chris still keeps an optimistic attitude toward life.Finally, he gets the job by his diligence.
When I watch this movie in the first time, I just focused on the plot of the movie.Just as most people say, the story of The Pursuit of Happyness is a typical American dream.People can obtain their own house, success, happiness and even freedom by their hardworking, diligence and intelligence.Basing on this point, I don't think "当幸福来敲门 "is a good translation.When this name come into my eyes, I think the importance of this movie is attached to the fortune that people can only wait for the happiness passively.However, the English name focuses on the process and hardships of pursuing happiness.People can get happiness only after you make utmost efforts to pursue it.
While when I watch it again, I pay more attention to the details in the movie.Many details touched me while the most moving thing was the way Chris treated his son."You got a dream, you got to protect it.People can't do something themselves, they wanna tell you that you can't do it.If you want something, go to get it. Period.
"Chris taught his son to pursue his own dream and do not give up easily.There is no doubt that Chris was a good father that always tries to protect child's feelings and self-esteem.Even they had to live in toilet, Chris made up a white lie to protect little Chris from being embarrassed and feeling self-abased.He also uses his own optimism to affect his son to hold a positive attitude toward life.In a word, Chris is a great father who moved me a lot and I believe his love touched more than thousands of audiences.
No matter which time I see this movie, it gives me a great number of movements and inspires me greatly.
