People seize the golden week to do what they like,traveling,going back to hometown or visiting friends.As a result,severe  traffic jams and crowded  spots are caused.Take my experience as an example,my four-hour trip ended up as a twelve-hour one,which was really a torture.

There are a few reasons for the golden week rush.Nowadays,people have more disposable money ,which can be spent on more activities. It's not oblivious that people attach more importance to traveling abroad or at home.Besides,there are only two golden weeks in a year.It seems far from enough to meet people's outgoing plans.The National Day is the equivalent of a national carnival.What's more,increasing households have cars,leading to much more self-driving traveling,which also contributes to the traffic jams.

At least two ways can ease the golden week rush.People in different places can take turns to enjoy the seven-day vacation.More efforts should be put into improving the public transportation.As long as public transportation is time-saving ,convenient ，comfortable and price-friendly,I believe more people will choose the public transportation instead of driving on their own to reduce the traffic. Amazing transportation means more than this,if the public transportation is time-saving,people don't have to wait until the golden week to travel or go back to hometown. For example,a railway can reduced my traveling time back to hometown from 5 hours to 2 hours.In this way,I can go home on weekends instead of only on long vacations.Then during National Day,I can have a staycation to beat the golden week rush.
