Today is Wednesday.
I am going to read a new Amelia Bedelia book, Cleans Up.
Amelia Bedelia and her two friends liked riding bicycles so much that they set up a riding club. The first thing of the club was to find a clubhouse. They rode around the whole town but found no place was good to be their clubhouse. Eventually when they rode by an old and horrible house where seemed nobody living, Amelia Bedelia decided to go into the backyard of the house. She rode so fast that she broke her bicycle and fell on the ground and scratched her elbows and knees. But she found there was a big oak in the yard which was a good place to make a tree house. So she told her friends her thought. They loved her idea.
She told her idea to her parents excitedly, but her father thought the idea was unbelievable because it's too perilous for them and her mother said,"You’re banging your head against a stone wall here." That means to waste one's time in a hopeless enterprise. Amelia told them she hadn't hurt her head, but her knees and elbows. Having known what had happened, her parents though the idea had been really treacherous.
