Lesson24 It could be worse
Had the writer's money been stolen? I entered the hotel manager's office and sat down. I had just lost $50 and I felt very upset. 'I left the money in my room.'I said,' and it's not there now.' The manager was sympathetic, but he could do nothing. ' Everyone's losing money these days.' He said. He started to complain about this wicked world but was interrupted by knock at the door. A girl came in and put an envelope on his desk. It contained fifty pounds. 'I found this outside this gentleman's room.' She said. 'Well.'Isaid to the manager.' there is still some honesty in this world!'

知识笔记
1.（L0）朗读sympathetic ,舌头有点绕。
2.(L1) 今天用的是美式英语发音。音标/l/后面有元音，在单词的末尾，发音时舌面向下凹，舌尖逐渐向上抬，最终抵住上齿龈，是个动态音。很容易发成欧。练习了单词hotel 、felt、world 、gentleman 、well、still。
3.（L4）过去学习音标和单词都是鹦鹉学舌，自我感觉读准了。其实根本不对，发声的部位不对，发了音就是不对。
练习感悟
时间练得越长，效果就越好，在高铁的厕所里录的音，录了好几遍。各种担心有人敲门，好在录下来了。
