We are told in some anecdotes of Mo-Tzu and statements of Huai-nan-tzu and Mo-Tzu, that the nature of the Mohist is a strictly disciplined organization capable of military action. The Mohists originated but differed from the hsieh or Knights-errant. They were opposed to invasion and elevated their professional ethics with a rationalistic justification.
