This is the third piece of my reading notes.
To be honest, I still did not know what to write and how to express my feeling of reading this book.
I completed reading this book several days ago. The moment I finished it I wanted to write something about it. Unfortunately I failed. Reasons are as followed.
Firstly, this novel is not so famous which leads to not so much information about it on the Internet. I am used to look for information about the author of the book I read before I write my reading note. However, I nearly got nothing this time which made me feel unease. Therefore, I stopped.
Secondly, this novel was not read in a limited time. I took me nearly 3 months to read. Not because the book is very thick or the content is very difficult, it just because I am too lazy to finish it. Consequently, when I finally finished it, I almost fogot many of it. Then it was actually a little difficult for me to write something about it.
Last but not least, this book is not my taste. You may feel confused about it. I began to read this book by accident. I knew nothing about it before I read it. However,
after I finished reading it,I found myself do not like it very much.That is because I successfully guessed out who was the stalker.
An overview of the book
The SEAL's Promise is a fiction written by Rebecca Winters. It is divided into 12 chapters.
Characters of the book
Chaz, a former Navy Seal, who lives by a code of honour. He is a private
investigator now. He who always be the protector ,always tells the truth and never gets involved with a client. But from the moment he meets Lacey he is attracted by her and falls in love with her. Chaz will do anything to keep Lacey and her daughter safe and in his arms.
Lacey, a popular radio call-in shower also an excellent writer, moved back to her mother's home with her three-year old daughtet after her husband gone. She went through a nightmare-- She received death threats aimed at her and her daughter.
In the end, with the help od Chaz, they found the stalker. It was Lacely's younger sister, Ruth ,who had some psycholigical problem since the death of their father.
My thinking:
The novel is interesting in some way. But it was not so good enough to finish it ASAP.
The word, the expression and the description in the book is very good. But it was too easy for readers to guess out who was the stalker. As a result, I think it is not so successful.

A fews days ago, I joined a Wechat group which was started by Zhuzhu, a member of Spenser's writing group. Zhuzhu invited mote than 150 people to read the original English non-fiction novels with her. She shared her feeling and some knowledge about this book to us. I really appreciate what she does. Although I have not check the information in her group frequently, I actually begin to read this book.
My next Chinese book:
It should be the Chinese version of Princibles.
Recently this book is highly recommended by my 007 comrade in their Moment or in many Wechat Group. My interest is triggered. Therefore, I decided to read it.
