My father’s dream
“Daddy, I promise, one day your dream will come true”. When I was a child, my father has always been dreaming of me to be a successful people. He drove me to the school everyday, no matter how busy he was. He took me to the different kinds of extra classes, about math, English, Taekwondo, painting, Chinese calligraphy and anything like that. In summer vacation, he will stay at home without going outside, just wanna cook for me and take good care of me. All these things he done for me is just wanna me to study hard, so as to catch a stable and decent job when I grow up. “I know what you think, you just wanna me can make a living by myself and I will never let you down. Success in growing, studying, working, Daddy, I’m on my way of your dream.” And on the basis of my father’s dream, my dream is more promising. Daddy, you, made of my dream!
I love speech
Previously, it was almost impossible for me to introduce myself, because I feel like it was so awkward to speak English in public. But everything has changed since I joined the 21st century coca cola speech contest. At that time, I was totally fascinated in English public speaking. Since then, I continue to join the different kinds of activities, like English debating, English speech and Model United Nation, something like that. Compared with them, speech is the most thing that suits for me, and it can be said as the most powerful thing to influence others. I am an enthusiastic girl who like dancing, singing and acting, so the first word “演” in Chinese is not a problem for me, which means I need to use some gestures with my great passion to drive everyone’s feeling. But it shouldn’t be excessive, or else, that will be too exaggerate. Above all, I always like popping up some new ideas, sometimes I really wanna communicate with others. You know, it just like if you have an idea and I have an idea, to exchange with other, each of us will have two ideas. So the second word “讲” in Chinese is the most valuable thing for me, which means to spread our thoughts to other. Every part of speech is what I like. See, how lovely the speech it is!
Lessons of Failure
“I hate failure”, it doesn’t feel so good, it is painful and despair, feeling the world has collapsed. But what it brings to me is the most valuable thing. This thing happened in recently, about APEC, for this competition, I was full of confidence with the sufficient prepare. I knew victory in hand. When I was waiting for the result, the dark came, I was totally wrong, everything was wrong until the judge told me. "You did a good job, but it was not enough. And I think your pronounciation need to be improved". In my mind, I always insist on "idea matters" rather than this superficial things, like the pronounciation and accent. But it seems like in this society, if you don't pay a few attention on your appearance, how can others have the desire to deepen into your inherence. I mean both of them also really matter.
