To my mind, 是一个固定短语，表示“依我之见”，类似于in my opinion, in my point of view.等等，与in my mind 差别比较大，不能互换，这个相当于在我心里，或者在我脑海里之类的意思。
2、I thought the research methods he used were very sound, although I must say I found the overall tone somewhat old-fashioned. (C10 Test2 Par3第47句)
sound这个词一般表示声音或者听起来，但这句话中，be sound,表示不错，很对，合理的意思。
somewhat, 这个是有点，有些的意思，注意它与somehow的区别，somehow是“不知怎么的”的意思
