Outline of Macbeth by Shakespeare

Macbeth is a powerful general of Scotland,who has distinguished himself by crushing internal and foreign enemies.Returning from a victorious campaign against rebels,Macbeth and his associate  Banquo encounter there witches who prophesy that Macbeth shall be lord of Cawdor and king hereafter. Immediately afterwards comes the news that Duncan,king of Scotland,has made Macbeth thane of Cawdor.The first of the prophecies is fulfilled. Ambition stimulate him to aspire to higher  things.His wife,lady Macbeth,also an ambitious person,helps him to take the further steps.Duncan pays a visit to Macbeth and rests with him in his castle that night.Nerved by his wife,Macbeth commits one atrocity after another.His reign is a chain of heinous crimes.And Macbeth himself is always in mental torture.When he gives a feast,
