转| Achieving Patience Will Fetch You Long-Term Rewards

Patience is required in every aspect of life. Since childhood to adulthood, every role that we play, every place we go, every person we meet require us to behave properly with utmost patience without getting angry, frustrated or upset. It is hard to maintain the feelings of rage at some point of life, however if we have an outburst, if might lead to large consequences. Getting fired from the job for yelling at a boss, maintaining a diet for losing weight or having a baby, all such situations require us to be patient. Here are some tips that can help you develop patience over a period of time:

1. Think before you speak:

Blurting out whatever comes first in our mind may hurt the person we are speaking to. Such emotional outbursts are never good news. This is why thinking before you speak is one of the best ways to develop patience while speaking to someone. Once you play the consequences in your head, it will be easier to talk calmly or just nod your head by avoiding speaking entirely.

2. Slow down for a day:

Days are passing away in a big hurry. When you successfully slow down for a day you will realise the beauty of patience. Rushing through the mall, traffic and driving to office will only make you anxious all the time. It is time you live a little. There is no hurry in life. When you follow a schedule you will realise that every puzzle piece is falling in the right place. So slow down and enjoy the moment.

3. Take deep breaths:

Instead of yelling at your secretary, take deep breaths and make her understand her mistake in an informative manner. Sometimes, three deep breaths are all it takes to make our heads calm. Closing eyes and taking deep breaths helps better for relaxation by making us peaceful. Similarly, when you crave for another piece of pie or a chocolate truffle, taking deep breaths will kill your desire to gratify your calorie intake. It will make you tolerant without becoming upset or distressed over a mere issue.
