When it was day they came into my house and said,

`We shall only take the smallest room here. '

They said, `We shall help you in the worship of your God

and humbly accept only our own share in his grace';

and then they took their seat in a corner

and they sat quiet and meek.

白天他们进入我的房子时说

我们只占用这里最小的一个房间

他们说：“我们要帮你礼拜上帝

并且只谦卑地领受

我们应得一份恩典

于是，他们在屋角

安静恭顺地坐下

But in the darkness of night 

I find they break into my sacred shrine, strong and turbulent, 

and snatch with unholy greed the offerings from God's altar.

但在黑夜

我却发现他们

蛮横地闯入我的圣堂

带着邪恶的贪念

抢走神坛上的祭品……

读泰戈尔诗-吉檀迦利33．有感

      他们是盗贼

白天他们来到教堂

虔诚地上香

拜佛念经 打扫庭院

谦卑地领取圣歺

他们安静的坐在教堂的一角

我很感动他们的诚惶诚恐

感动他们虔诚的祈祷

当黑夜降临

他们却露出邪念的面孔

开始抡夺神坛上的祭品

抡夺善男信女的功德钱

他们伪装信徒

他们是欺神骗财的盗贼……
