Do you know middle age people feel very pessimistic of living in big cities? And it's understandable, because conditions are getting worse, the employment situation is very difficult for middle age people in big cities. Once a middle age person was fired, then to get a stable job, to get a job with decent pay, doing something interesting and something meaningful, it's kind of almost impossible.
And for young people who come from villages, the housing situation is extremely difficult for them to own somewhere stable to live in big cities, like Shanghai, Shenzhen etc. There's nothing that makes young people feel like they have a purpose that there's something really to look forward to. And most of them refuse to marry someone or to have a child, because they always feel not easy to survive themselves, they think they don’t have the ability to responsible/to afford son or daughter. Does young people’s opinion shocking to you? Or worrying you?
Hoping everybody could working for a better future for himself or for humanity.
