Biography:

Dr. Claudio Tondo is the Director of Cardiac Arrhythmia Research Centre at Centro CardiologicoMonzino, Milan. He is also Visiting Professor of Cardiology, Massachusetts General Hospital, Medical School, Boston (MA), USA and at the Cardiac Arrhythmia Institute, Center of Excellence for the treatment of complex arrythmias at ST: David's Medical Center, Austin, Texas, USA.

Moreover he is professor of Medical School Sacro Cuore Catholic University of Rome and of Post-Graduate Arrythmology Medical School, University of Milan

National and International appointments:

1993-1996, Research and Clinical Fellow in the Cardiovascular Department at the University of Oklahoma Heart Sciences Center;.

1996 - 2000, Resident Cardiologist in the Department of Cardiology and Internal Medicine at Michael Reese Hospital of Chicago.

1999 - 2001, Research Cardiologist at the Experimental Electrophysiology Laboratory at the Cardiovascular Institute, SUNY Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, (NJ),USA

Since 1995 Regular member of North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology (NASPE) and Italian Society of Arrhythmology

From July 2001 to 2002 Associate Professor of Cardiology at the Institute of Cardiology, University of Milan, Centro Cardiologico, Milan, Co-director of Clinical Electrophysiology Laboratory and Arrhythmia Unit, mainly involved in ablation procedures, ICD implants and in the clinical evaluation of the effects of antiarrhythmic drugs.
