CC2-《Dating with subway》
Maybe you see my subject title you must be very curious. I am sure you will say : what the hell!? Dating with subway? Are you crazy? I know almost people don’t like taking subway,,especially weekday,rush hour,and holiday time, almost the subway is "People mountain People sea" but why I say I have an appointment with subway?
Okay hold on dears. Let me tell you my story with him.
I want to show you a picture. You can see these data,right? What’s meaning for these number? I will explain you.
I live in Gushu, Baoan district, a place which is close to airport , but I work in Laojie,Luohu district. So from Gushu to Laojie, I have to cross 3 districts, Nanshan district, Futian district and finally Luohu district. There are 26 stations from here to there. And one day , double 26, I have to take 52 stations everyday. It spend me more than three hours with the subway, isn't it like my boyfriend? So that why I say “Dating with subway”
Now you hear you might say OMG, unbelievable . Taking 52 stations per day! Perhaps you might say I am crazy . Even you might say Jessica you are stupid to waste the precious time and money. Or you will nice, giving me some suggestions ,like : ask me to rent an apartment near my office , or find a job near my house my family .
You must curiously ask " what I am doing in subway during 26 stations?
Am I real wasting time?
To be honest, to beginning of half month, indeed I though I am wasting time .I always watching movie/ TV show,Playing the mobile game and chatting friends in We-chat to spend my traffic time. Even I would download some tv show some movie in phone in advance ，and then I would enjoy in subway. Everyday I do same thing
However, one day, I record a time of day what I spent. Looking at the time report, Let me feel upset. I found many time I waste I do many meaningless things . I know if I no change No take some action . I would blame myself in future . So I want to change . I want to do more meaningful things.
Later, I try to read, try to use of spare time to create values . My initial purpose is to foster the habit of reading. I want through book company me day and night instead of watching videos.
Do you know？So far ,from leaving school to work , Just 9months now. I found I fall in love with Mr. Subway not complain about it at all .Here I gonna tell you good news:There are three achievements I have made.
First of all,I am proud of telling you the one of greatest achievements I've made this year is to foster the habit of reading.
Last night I make a book list which I have read during 9 months. I can't believe it! Nine months , total 10 books I already read, that mean each month I can read a book . This is such a big deal for me. You can't image before 9months ago I completely don't like reading , picking up book just let me feel sleepy! Now I'm so proud of myself!
However sometime I would learn English in subway. I spent time to memorize some words. The second achievement I have done is I finished BEC intermediate vocabulary and Spanish basic vocabulary. I get great pleasure from memorizing words.
The third thing, during the subway,I made lots of interesting friends who have common interests. Some book lover are curious about my book what I am reading. We exchange books and share ideas learn form that books .I always met some English lover ,we exchange English ,and recommend some leaning English app each other . Some foreigners think I am special I can read with crowed and noisy subway.
These three great achievements from me on the subway, I fully use the traffic time to learn and grow.
In fact, today I want to through my story, calling on everyone to cherish and manage our precious time. Time is fair, everybody has 24 hours.But remember that time waits for no one. If we spend more time on the meaningless things , you must be regret one day. Once you let it slip away, you’ll never chase it back. Watching TV, playing games, these can be used as a leisure time to enjoy, but if you have enough free time as I do, let’s picking up books instead of watching videos!
Treasure every moment that we have!Use of free time, do some more meaningful things,create more valuable things ,make you life brightly. I believe that as long as you learn to manage time in the future you'll thank yourself!
