The Five Colors of Chinese Painting(陈洁)

  Recently, I was immersed in the beauty of Chinese painting. When I was looking at them, I felt very peaceful and happy. I can forget the things which make me undelighted. Firstly, let's enjoy some of them.

In fact, I don't really understand the artistic conception of Chinese painting, but I like the feelings them give me.

  As we all know, Chinese artists really like drawing mountains and rivers, flowers and plants. They use the light and the deep to show their moods, regard themselves as lonely bird to imply the condition they suffered. They express their conotation, thoughts, attitudes all in paintings.

Actually, poets and scholars even the teenagers in ancient China all could drawing. Painting was one of their majors.

Today, less and less people can draw Chinese painting. We generally forget the cultural spirits of it.

And this is another reason for my want to learn it. Today I will introduce you something basis of Chinese painting named "The Basc Five Colors" in this essay.

国画五色:

焦(charred),浓(dense),重(deep),淡(diluted),清(clear)

焦(charred) The color drawed by the pen with the fewest water. It used to draw the stonees and mountains.

浓(dense) The color often used to do handwriting.

重(deep) The deepest color in Chinese painting.

淡(diluted) The color used to shadow objects.

清(clear) The lightest color in Chinese painting.
