Day 4 Cheetah

Cheetah is a large, cat-like animal. It is reckoned to be the fastest one running on the ground, with a top speed at about 120 km/h. But it can only keep that speed in a short distance or about half a minute, which means it has to catch the prey at its burst, otherwise it will need to cool down. Most people cannot tell the difference between cheetah and leopard. They are both outsized by lion, but cheetah is a little smaller for low weight makes it easier to gain the top speed and leopard essentially depends on surprise attacks after which it will drag the prey onto the tree. There are two noticeable distinctions between the two feline animals. First, cheetah has special tear lines which come from the inner corner of its eyes to the side of the mouth and serve to reflect sunlight while hunting. Second, though they both have a moccasin fur, the patterns on it are dissimilar. While cheetah has solid round black spots, leopard’s are black and brown that look like roses which westerners call rosettes; we Chinese refer them as golden coins.
