今天把Jonathan Harker部分的日记看完了。Harker在城堡里不断地探索能够出去的方法。他仿照伯爵的方法，从窗户外面爬到了伯爵的房间，在房间的一角发现一扇门，这扇门通往墓室，在那里他意外发现伯爵的藏身之地。他发现伯爵竟然躺在一个大箱子里。
他是这样描述伯爵的：
He was either dead or asleep. I could not say which, for his eyes were open and stony, but without the glassy of death, and the cheeks had the warmth of life through all their whiteness. But there was no sign of movement, no pulse, no breath, no beating of the heart. I bent over him, and tried to find any sing of life, but in vain.
这段描述，很直接的说了吸血鬼的一些特征，但是还不够显露。这是他第一次进入墓室，心里有害怕，有恐惧。但是紧接着，没过几天，伯爵马上要随着大箱子离开城堡，而此时，Harker就会命丧于此。基于这样的情况，哈克鼓起勇气，再次在白天进入墓室，想要从伯爵身上找到锁大门的钥匙。
这时他是这样描述伯爵的：
I was something which filled my very soul with horror. There lay the Count, but looking as if his youth had been half restored. For the white hair and moustache were changed to dark iron-grey. The cheeks were fuller, and the white skin seemed ruby-red underneath. The mouth was redder than ever, for on the lips were drops of fresh blood, which trickled from the corners of the mouth and ran down over the chin and neck.
这一段，更加清晰的描述了伯爵是通过吸食活人的鲜血来补充能量、延续生命。他的阴谋——假扮Harker离开古堡的计划，即将得逞。
不仅如此，当这次哈克看到伯爵的样子后，他想要铲除这个恶魔。于是拿起旁边的铁铲，高高地举起，朝着伯爵狠狠砸去。就在这时，伯爵却转过头来，满眼痛恨地盯着我，把我吓的半死，使得手中的铁铲转了方向，没有命中伯爵。
这一幕在脑海里所勾勒出的画面，让人真是捏一把汗！很可惜，哈克没有把这个恶魔铲除掉。他到底能不能逃出这个邪恶之地。只能未完待续~
