"Depart for" means to leave one place and begin a journey to a specific destination. It is more formal than "leave for."
For example:
The 8:30 train will depart for Boston from platform 4.
I’ll depart for London tomorrow morning.
We decided to depart for home before it got dark.
The bus will depart for the city center in ten minutes.
