If you want to be useful, empty your mind. The cup is useful only because of its emptiness. Your true power lies not in what you can hold on to, but in what you can let go. And like water, learn to yield to overcome, and soften to conquer. Empty your mind to fill your potential.
I used to prepare what to say when I met friends, which often stressed me out. The most recent stressful time was when I prepared to host the English corner. The stress lasted for more than two weeks. I tried to use most of my prepared content during the event. After the event was over, I didn’t feel any energy or sense of accomplishment—only a headache and frustration.
The next day, I went to a reading party with two friends. I didn’t have time to prepare what to say. I just went there, listened to what my friends were talking about, and then I also had something to say—nothing well-planned. I felt relaxed and satisfied that day.
