1. infinite adj. 极大的；无穷的
There are infinite possibilities when it comes to building your vocabulary.
infinite 通常带有夸张的意味，用于强调某事的程度。
2. expressive adj. 富于表现力的
She is an expressive person in her romantic relationship. 她在恋爱时很善于表达自己。
expressive 可以形容人的性格（善于表达自己），也可以形容人的言辞和行为（富于表现力）。
3. exposure n.接触；暴露
Exposure to cold air can be painful. 暴露在寒冷的空气里可能很不好受。
exposure是名词，它是动词expose的名词形式。不论是expose 还是exposure,常用的搭配都是后面加个to.
4. repetition n. 重复
When you try to learn new words, sufficient repetition of the words is very helpful to your learning. 努力学习新词时，足量的重复大有裨益。
repetition 是名词，它是动词repeat的名词形式。repetition 不可数。
5. recall v. 回忆
I can still recall the time when we first met outside the library. 我仍能记起我们在图书馆外的初次相识。
recall 与 remember 都有“回忆”的意思，区别在于， remember 是在脑海中回忆，而recall 不仅具有remember的意思，还有“一边回忆一边告诉别人”的意思。
6. immerse v. 沉浸于
When learning new words, you need to immerse yourself in them, like a tea bag in water. 学习新词时，你需要沉浸其中，就像茶包泡在水里一样。
immerse 的本义是将某物浸泡在液体中，引申义是沉浸于知识、气氛、活动等等之中。immerse后面如果加介词，要加in.
7. virtue n. 优点；美德
Patience is a virtue. 耐心是一种美德。
virtue n. 优点；美德的意思，是可数名词。除此之外，virtue还有一个用法：the virtue of sth. 某物的好处、优势。
8. commitment n.付出、投入（时间、毅力等等）
Building vocabulary requires commitment. 提升词汇需要付出努力。
commitment 的意思比较抽象，它有几个词义：
1. 作为不可数名词时，意思是“自愿付出辛苦、努力、时间、毅力（为了达成目标）”，如上。
2. 作为不可数名词时，另一个意思是“对某个理念或体制的信念”
e.g. commitment to the idea of justice 对公正持有的信念
9. grasp v. 领悟
Grasping the use of a foreign language requires commitment. 领悟一门外语的使用方法需要付出很多。
grasp 的本义是“牢牢抓住”，是及物动词。本文取它的引申义，意思是“领悟”，也是及物动词，专门用来搭配一些现实生活中不好领悟、需要努力才能学会的东西。
10. flourish v. 蓬勃发展；茁壮成长
Remember that with exposure, repetition, effort, and patience, your vocabulaty will flourish.
