1. grog: a strong alcoholic drink

2. pressed: to not have enough time, money etc
be pressed for time/mondy etc.
There is no possible of travelling, especially when you are busy at work.
3. lodge with sb/at: live for payment in sb's house
He lodges with Mistress Pettier.
4. distressed: very unhappy, worried, or upset
I don't want you to be distressed.
5. flthy: very dirty
He is talking to that filthy head boy.
6. quay/dock/harbor: a hard surface next to an ocean or river, where boats can stop
The quay looked like a long stone road going into the sea.
7. gist and juice of it: 流言蜚语
Soon the gossip of Scaithe's Ebb had the gist and juice of it all.
Summary
Scaithe's Ebb nestled close to the ocean with a large port. It's a seaport town of chandlers and carpenters and sailmakers. Lord Primus of Stormhold came into this town one night. During the day of living in this town, he was more careful about his needs and requests. Meanwhile, He brided a number of the local street urchins to work for him, for finding someone is crownlike. Telling them once they saw the man must let him know. It was not long before one of the street unchin found this man and told Primus where he was. Few days later, an unfortunate accident befell, one tall, dark and crownlike, sailor, was dead after the Heart of a Dream sailed east from the cliff top.
At the same time, the star was riding the unicorn with Tristran to find a way to the village of wall. Tristran was starving on the way home. He needed to find something to eat. So he loosed the chain with the star to get some food from the village. But, when he walked back, the star was left. Tristran regreted about leaving the star alone in the wood. He wondered if he would ever see the star again.
The withch-queen reined in her goat-drawn chariot and said to herself ,"she is coming to me."
The girl held tight to the unicorn's neck went headlong through the dark forest. Eventhough, the darkness was everywhere, the star and the unicorn glimmered and twinkled in the evening.
Afterthoughs
当读到Tristran和Star独处的时候就有点小兴奋，这两人的感情要开始升华了，电影剧情不都是这么演的嘛，先是冤家，吵多了了然后再碰到点磨难，感情就培养出来了。Star对Tristran的态度也是跟小姑娘一样，单单“笨蛋”这个词就用了好几种说法。不过Tristran还是很绅士的，可爱的小男孩。刚开始读这本书的时候就觉的Tristran对Victoria的感情也太浅薄了吧，就因为她漂亮然后就多么多么爱她？这样的爱情哪经得起时间的考验，原来真爱另有其人呀！
