This is Kipper's little friend, Arnold.
这是小狗奇普的小伙伴，阿诺德。
Arnold has found an ant.
阿诺德发现了一只蚂蚁。
A a is for ant. And Arnold.
A a对应着ant（蚂蚁）和Arnold（阿诺德）。
B b is for box and
B b对应着box（盒子）和
buzzzzzzzzzzz...
buzz（嗡嗡声）......
They put the ant in the box,
他们把蚂蚁放在盒子里，
and followed the bumblebee.
接着是大黄蜂。
It flew away.
它飞走了。
"Let’s find something beginning with C," said Kipper.
“我们找找以C开头的东西吧，”奇普说道。
But the caterpillar had already found them!
不过，毛毛虫已经找到他们了！
C c is for Crawly caterpillar.
C c对应着crawly caterpillar（吓人的毛毛虫）。
D d is for duck.
D d对用着duck（鸭子）。
"Duck!" said Arnold.
“鸭子！”阿诺德叫道。
The duck was too big to fit into Arnold's box.
这个鸭子太大了，装不进阿诺德的盒子里。

enormous elephant!

Where is the ant?

E e is for empty.

The frog would have fit in Arnold's box,

but Kipper couldn't catch it.
但是奇普捉不住它。
It was too fast!
它太快了！

Arnold was still wondering where the ant had gone,when a little green grasshopper jumped straight into his box.
当一只绿色的小蚱蜢跳进阿诺德的盒子里的时候，他仍然在想那只蚂蚁去哪里了。
"Good!" said Kipper.
“太好了！”奇普叫到。
G g is for grasshopper.
G g对应着grasshopper（蚱蜢）。
H h is for hill and happy.
H h对应着hill（山）和happy（快乐的）。
They skipped all the way to the top of Big Hill,
他们一路蹦着跳着到了大山顶上，
and down the other side.
然后从山的另一面下去。
Arnold found another interesting insect.
阿诺德发现了另一只有趣的昆虫。
He opened his box and put the interesting insect inside.
他打开盒子，并把这只有趣的昆虫放了进去。

I i对应着insect（昆虫）。
"Is it my turn yet?" "No, not yet."
“轮到我了吗？” “不，还没有。”
They went home for a drink of juice.
他们回家喝了杯果汁。
Arnold helped himself to some jam, too.
阿诺德还吃了一些果酱。
J j is for juice.
J j对应着juice（果汁）。
And a bit of jam，too.
和一点儿jam（果酱）。
Kipper couldn't think of anything beginning with K.
奇普想不到任何以K开头的东西。

L was easy.
L很简单。
Outside there were lots of ladybugs.
外面有许多，许多的瓢虫。
Lots and lots.
许许多多。
Arnold put one in his box.
阿诺德放了一个到他的盒子里。

Arnold found some little muddy mountains.
阿诺德发现了一些小土堆。
He was so busy playing that he didn't even notice the mole.

"Is it my turn now?" said the zebra.
“现在该轮到我了吧？”斑马问道。
"No, not now!" said Kipper.
“不，不是现在！”奇普答道。
"You don't begin with N."
“你不是以N开头的。”
N n is for No, not now!
N n对应着No，not now！
I'm a gnat, and I don't begin with N either.
（不，不是现在！）我是一只gnat（叮人小虫），我也不是以N开头的。
Arnold climbed on the swing.
阿诺德爬上了秋千。
And then he fell off again.
然后他又摔下来了。
O o is for on…and off.
O o对应着on（在……上面）和off（从……落下）。
And oo is for oops!
oo对应着oops（哎哟）。
Arnold was upset.
阿诺德很难过。
He sat up puffing and panting and a little pink.
他气喘吁吁地坐起来，变得有点儿粉。
So kipper took him to his favorite place. The pond.
因此，奇普带他去了他喜欢的地方，池塘。
P p is for puff，pant, pink and pond.
P p对应着puff（喷气），pant（喘气）和pond（池塘）。
Quack! Quack! Quack! Quack!
呱！呱！呱！呱！
Is that Arnold's ant?

Q q is for quite!

And quack, of course.
和quack（呱呱叫）。
It started to rain.
开始下雨了。
R r is for rainbow.
R r对应着rainbow（彩虹）。
They splashed home through the puddles.
他们一路踩着水花回家。
S s is for splish! splosh! splash!
S s对应着splish！splosh！splash！（咔嚓噗通，水花的声音，拟声词）
And six squishy slugs.
和six squishy slugs（六只黏糊糊的鼻涕虫）。
At home Kipper got out his toys.
到家后奇普拿出了他的玩具。
T t is for toys.
T t对应着toys（玩具）。
"I know what begins with U!" said Kipper.
“我知道什么以U开头！”奇普喊道。
"Umbrella!" They played under the umbrella, while the rain poured down outside.
“雨伞！”虽然外面下着雨，他们仍然在伞下玩了起来。
U u is for under the umbrella.
U u对应着under the umbrella（在伞的下面）。
"V is very, very hard," said Kipper.
“V很难，”奇普说道。
"Do you think we could find a volcano?"
“你觉得我们能够找到一个火山吗？”
Arnold shook his head.
阿诺德摇了摇他的脑袋。
So they made a picture of one instead.
取而代之，他们画了一个火山的图。
V v is for volcano!
V v对应着volcano（火山）！
The rain stopped.
雨停了。
They looked out the window to see what they could see for W.
他们看向窗外，想要找找什么以W开头。
W w is for wiggly worm.
W w对应着wiggly worm（蠕动的虫子）。
Not long now!
马上就到了！
But what begins with X?
那什么以X开头呢？
Kipper thought and thought.
奇普想了又想。
He thought of box, which ends with X, and he thought of socks, which doesn’t.
他想到了以X结尾的box（盒子），他也想到了socks（袜子），但却不是的。
"I know!" he said suddenly.
“我知道了！”他突然叫到。
Kipper picked up the interesting insect.
奇普把那只有趣的虫子捡起来。
X x is for xugglybug!
X x对应着xugglybug（类似the ugly bug，那只丑虫子，奇普的自造词）。
"It must be my turn by now!" said the zebra.
“现在肯定轮到我了吧！”斑马说道。
"Is it my turn? Is it？Is it? "
“轮到我了吗？到了我吗？到我了吗？”
Y y is for Yes!
Y y对应着Yes（是的）！
So the zebra stood in the middle of the page,
于是斑马站在了页面的中间，
and we all said, Z z is for Zebra!
我们一起说道，Z z对应着Zebra（斑马）！
And for Arnold's little Zoo, too.
同样的，阿诺德的小Zoo（动物园）也是。
