Mig told her Uncle she wanted to be a princess and wear a crown, which was laughed at by his Uncle. She often stood in the field, expecting to see the princess riding on her pony. She hoped one day she could become a princess. A few years later, one day the soldiers drove a wagon and collected all the spoons, bowls and kettles in the kingdom. They came to Mig's hut and took her back to the castle. Mig would not be a slave but a servant. She was asked to send a spool of red thread to the princess. They knew each other and the princess liked Mig although she was almost deaf. Mig told the princess about her dream of becoming a princess. Mig had never eaten enough before, but from she was taken into the castle, she ate as much as she could. She became plumper and plumper. She was not that kind of girl who could do chores good. She often made mistakes. Finally she was sent to deliver food to the dungeon.
