- Do not use root user.
- Download oxDNA from https://dna.physics.ox.ac.uk/index.php/Download_and_Installation;
- Move the .tgz file to home direction " ~/ ";
- Extract the source file from .tgz file:
~$ sudo tar xzvf oxDNA_2.2.2_RJUNE2015.tgz - Enter the oxNDA direction
~$ cd oxDNA - Create 'build' direction
~/oxDNA$ mkdir build - Go to 'build' direction
~/oxDNA$ cd build - Go 'cmake' options
~/oxDNA/build$ cmake .. - Compiling
~/oxDNA/build$ make -j4 "; - Go to 'home' direction
~/oxDNA/build$ cd - Create 'bin' direction
~$ mkdir bin - Create a soft link of oxDNA, confGenerator and DNAnalysisand to "bin" direction
~$ ln -s ~/oxDNA/build/bin/* ~/bin/ - Add path to .bashrc
vim ~/.bashrc"
and then add
export PATH=$PATH:"~/bin"
below
# User specific aliases and functions"
or at the end of the file. save and quit. - Refresh the .bashrc
~$ source ~/.bashrc " - Done.
