(b) Any field K of characteristic 0 contains a unique subfield isomorphic to the rational numbers \boldsymbol{Q} and any field of characteristic p contains a unique subfield isomorphic to \boldsymbol{F_p}.

Ex 2.3. Give an example of an infinite field of characteristic \ne 0.
