（一）about sports activities
In April, our school held lots of sports activities. I chose to play basketball with my classmates. I love basketball because it is exciting and easy to play with friends. We played on the school playground every afternoon. First, we did some warm-up exercises. Then we practised passing and shooting. After that, we had a friendly match. Everyone tried their best to score. I felt very tired but happy after running and jumping. Playing basketball is good for my health and it also makes me feel relaxed. I really enjoyed this activity and I want to play more sports in the future.
jump rope
In April, our school held lots of sports activities. I chose to jump rope with my classmates. I like jumping rope because it is simple and easy to play anywhere. We did it on the playground every morning. First, we warmed up by stretching our arms and legs. Then we took turns jumping and counting the numbers. Some of us could jump over 100 times without stopping! We also tried double jumps and group skipping, which were so much fun. I felt a little tired but very happy after each session. Jumping rope is good for my heart and makes me feel energetic and healthy. I really enjoyed this activity and I will keep jumping every day.
（二）about the Dragon Boat Fesitival
Dear Mary,
How's everything going with you? I know you are interested in Chinese festivals. Today I want to tell you about the Dragon Boat Festival.
The Dragon Boat Festival is in summer, usually in May or June. It is a day to remember Qu Yuan, a great poet in ancient China.
On that day, my family always get together. My grandma makes delicious zongzi—sticky rice dumplings with meat or red beans. My dad takes me to watch dragon boat races on the river. The boats are long and colourful, and people shout loudly. My mum and sister hang mugwort leaves on the door to keep bad luck away.
I love this festival because I can eat tasty zongzi and watch exciting races. It's also a time for family to stay together and have fun.
