第二次英语课，本来准备的current affair主题是有关美国退出巴黎协定，今早发现伦敦又发生了两起恐怖袭击，于是临时修改了口语主题。
如上次课Eric给我的建议，这次我在口语材料里加了一些个人的见解。
他说我需要更注意下我的语法，如过去时与现在时的使用，以及一些在日期上的误用（这个其实是口误）。

这次我有意加入一些个人的看法，提到有可能这两次恐袭也许是政治斗争的产物。
因为有媒体分析，在曼彻斯特爆炸案之后，英国警方增加了很多警力，有可能这个袭击者并不是英国以外人士，而是本地人。加上6月3号的两次恐袭，刚好发生在欧冠之夜，6月8号又将迎来英国的议会选举。
这个时机不得不让人与政治事件产生联想，看看媒体后续会如何解读。Anyway, 在谈到政治斗争中，我用的词汇是 political combat.
Eric告诉我，combat更多的是体力上的竞争，如通过fight等方式去。而在政治中，我们用下面这种表达。

有关恐怖袭击者本人，Eric也给出了一个惯用说法， political unrest.

谈到我对这场恐袭的看法，我用了 the timing is well-planned.然而,Eric告诉我一个更好的表达方式。
一场精心策划的活动 （是时间、地点、关键人物等全方位的策划）
well-strategized
对比表达：
well-timed 仅仅是策划了时机
well-planned 也许策划了时机加地点或是某些计划，总之不如well-strategized更全面
谈到第一场恐袭，一辆面包车冲进了人行道，撞死一个人，伤了20人。我用的表达为：
The attack……in which a van vowed into the pedestrians , killing 1 person , injured 20 persons.

第一场恐袭发生在伦敦桥，我以为landmark有地标性建筑的意思。Anyway，几个表达
landmarks-没有symbol涵义 指人数众多的游览区

heavy traffic areas 此处traffic不止是指交通，也指流量，人和物的流量；也可以指互联网的流量
local hangouts/locales 这里指仅本地人士熟知的一些地区
我说，这次恐袭，让我感觉居住在在城市很不安全。几个有关大城市big city的说法。Metropolis 和Metropolitan city均是由于商业原因而聚合的大城市。

有关城市的地区，我们可以用pocket来表达。表示小块地方。

pocket引申，也指金钱的充足 pockets full of money (不用wallet full of money)

insight：internal views/info--内部的观点或信息
incite：煽动 刺激
internal/external是一对表达内部、外部的反义词，如公司的XX方案或是任免，还在内部，而未对外。可以说
[e.g.]The appointment is still internal.
ignite/incite是一对表达激励的同义词，但是ignite表达开启，开始某种激情，也许5分钟后就消逝，相对短一些；incite相对长期。

还是谈了一下美国退出巴黎协定。
backlash--take actions against/actions强烈反对，激烈的反应。
[e.g.]The voters had backlash against rising gas taxes.

我的作业：
Just about a week after the Manchester attack, 3 terrible attacks happen in London again.
The first incident took place just 12 hours ago, in which a white van vowed into the pedestrians and evoking panic and injured more than 20 persons. The attacker chose a landmark of London - London bridge, which I think he intended to attract the attentions.This also make me think that living in the big city is not safe at all. The London Mayor even said the terror attack is a part of the big city life.
Shortly after the London bridge incident, another terror incidents happened in Borough market too . Two persons who having meal were stabbed by the terrorist.
The 3rd incident weren’t be treated as terror attack and media don’t reveal more details about it.
The attacker was wearing a suicide bomb waistcoat and 2 suspects were arrested.
I think the timing of the attack is well planned cause it was just the European champion night. And the finals will be held in these days. Also the parliamentary election would begin in June 8th. Some media analyses that the attacker may not from outside England but some British citizen with an extreme thought. And also the brexit has not come to a conclusion yet, so I think this maybe a outcome of the politician combat. Or he may represent the rights of some organizations and want to fulfill the demand by this horrible incidents.
After the attack , Donald trump tweeted that whatever the US could do to help out of the London and UK, they will be there. The mayor Sadiq said the incident was still unfolding.They don’t know many details yet, while the attack was deliberate and crowd cause they killed so many innocent lives enjoying their Saturday night. There was no justifications.
I think politics is so complicated as well as the humanity. Some persons will lose their valuable life at any time by some persons’ crazy thoughts. So I think it’s lucky that the normal life is still available and we should cherish it.
