I think it is necessary to restrict access to sexual or violent websites, but I am only in favor of restricting access to people of a certain age. I think people who are restricted should include children and teenagers. Because children and teenagers are in a growing stage, their cognition and learning of the outside world are mostly based on imitation, and they may not have sound values and a clear sense of right and wrong. If they are not banned from accessing sexual or violent websites, they may copy the information on these websites and cause great harm.
For adults, I don't think it's necessary to restrict access to sexual or violent sites. Because adults should be equipped with the ability to judge right and wrong and self-restraint. In my opinion, adults should understand that they are responsible for everything they do. So even if they visit sexual or violent websites, they should understand what is not allowed in real life, such as violent behavior and sexual harassment. On the other hand, even if they restrict access to sexual or violent websites, if a person wants to see a sexual or violent website, they will still try to get to over the wall.
