I was arranged to be as the intern assistant to serve our customers which was a little difficult for me. I learnt relevant books and ppt over and over again and I was confident I had mastered the knowledge. I suddenly recalled two weeks ago, I imagined how to drive a manual car and when I watched and imagined how to drive, I was confident I could drive well. But when I held the steering wheel, put the car in gear, released the clutch and pressed down the accelerator, I suddenly found I couldn’t control the car and I was totally in panic. And that moment, I was clear only when I practiced in the real car on the real road for many time could I master how to drive a manual car well.
Every customer has their special business model but what I’ve learnt was the standard template. It will cause a big problem if I use the standard template to solve a special problem. When I talked with the customers, I found it was difficult for me to solve their real problems. I asked help from my colleagues again and again. The calculating diagrams became more and more blurry to me which drove me crazy and uneasy.
Knowledge is fixed but everyone has their own special problem. But if we accumulate enough problems, we could summarize some fixed patterns and when we encounter problems, we could quickly find the right pattern and right way to solve this problem.
Genuine knowledge comes from practice and I should learn by doing.
