"When given the choice between being right or being kind, choose kind."
My favourate book is Wonder. I like Wonder because it's funny, uplifting, moving and incredibly cozy.
August(Auggie) Pullman was an ordinary ten-year-old kid——only he had a facial different from everyone else. And he was starting fifth grade at Beecher Prep. Would he get along with the other kids?
In the story, there were some main characters. Auggie's family——his mother, Isabel, his father, Nate, Via, his sister and Daisy the dog. Auggie's friends——Summer and Jack, and the bully, Julian. Auggie's parents and his sister were all kind to him, but their kindness often made Auggie misunderstand them. Jack and Summer were first kids in school to really accept Auggie and be friends with him. They were always helping him, but sometimes things didn't go well either. Julian was probably the villain in the book. He always laughed at Auggie and tried to turn the whole grade against him, but at last it didn't work.
The book's theme is to choose kind. One of mr. Browne, Auggie's teacher had said: When given the choice between being right and being kind, choose kind. I think it's true. Auggie's friends managed to choose kind to Auggie, and that helped him get through fifth grade. Particularly, this is also the right thing.
Wonder is a story that I would like to reread over and over again.
