According to Aristotle, the body was at rest and only moved by the force. Besides, the heavy body falled faster than light one. However, as the time goes by, scientists like Galileo and Newton overturned the theory. Newton's second law and the theory of gravity tell people that a body is not absolute rest. During the late 19th century and early 20th century, the study in electromagnetic fields released that the light travels at a high speed. Later the relativity given by Einstein ended the notion about absolute time.
