Itis 07:30 in the morning, I opened the window, several stars hung in the sky, agleam of twilight shine through the cloud, the Potala Palace is still in thedark. When the sun raised up half an hour later, the palace finally showed up, thosemountains behind the palace were covered in sienna.

Potala Palace is in ranked as the No.1must-seen attraction in Tibet. Its main buildings are situated on the Red Hillby the side of Lhasa River. Potala Palace is not only a splendid place, butalso a treasure house where you can see precious arts and learn Tibetan cultureand history.
But in order to get a close look to thisculture, be prepared to climb 300 steps ,steep and narrow. One of the goodthing during off season is that you can take as much time as you can, there isno time limit.
