MY EIGHTH BLOG-WHO MOVED MY CHEESE.

Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get.know what you're going to get.

How does the story go on?

THE QUICKER YOU LET GO OF OLD CHEESE, THE SOONER YOU FIND NEW CHEESE

Haw went back to Cheese Station C and gave Hem his new cheese. But Hem refused, and he just wanted his lost cheese back. Haw started to walk into the maze by himself. He found himself very happy with his discovery. Haw liked the feeling that he was not bound by fear. When the fear disappeared, it was only a matter of time before he could find the cheese.

IT IS SAFER TO SEARCH IN THE MAZE, THAN REMAIN IN A CHEESELESS SITUATION

The fear in the mind is more terrible than the obstacle in reality. Haw didn't leave Cheese Station C because he was afraid that he couldn't find the cheese. But when he entered the maze, Haw found that he actually encountered less difficulties than he expected. Now Haw realizes that change is normal. Instead of thinking about what will go wrong, think about what will succeed.

Thoughts on the part

Maturity has everything to do with the acceptance of “not knowing”.

—— Mark Z. Danielewski, House of Leaves

What is more terrible than "bad results"? For many people, "not knowing the result" is much more terrible than "bad result". Waiting for the results of an interview, a doctor's diagnosis, a secret love object's text message. Unknown and out of our control situation let us sit uneasy. We repeatedly check the mobile phone, or turn off the mobile phone, even make some impulsive behavior, just to get rid of this uncertain and uncomfortable feeling as soon as possible.

How do we overcome fear?

Replace expectations with plans.

Any form of fantasy seems to bring internal injury. It's better to focus more on what we really can do and try to make a practical plan. When we translate our expectations of the future into concrete and feasible plans, the future will not look so empty and dreamy, but like a grounded to-do list.

Believe in your ability to cope.

In his book the positive forces of negative thinking, Julie K. Norem argues that if we often anticipate the worst outcome that we can handle, we may not be so anxious about the unknown. Unlike negative expectations, we know that even if there are such situations, we can solve them.

My story related to this part

I am always very busy at the end of each semester in University. There are final assignments and exams for each subject. When I think about the busy life after that, I always feel very resistant and even don't want to do anything. However, when I bravely take the first step to review, I always feel happy for the results of my review, even if I don't review a lot. When we don't want to make changes, we are often bound by fear. When we take the first step bravely, success is not far away from us. And the future is far less difficult than we had previously imagined.
