There is no doubt that AI technology is the next big thing as important as steam engine, electricity generator, computer and Internet. AI is abbreviated of artificial intelligence. The reason why AI is so important is that it will totally change the pattern of technology and the relationship between human beings and the tools we invented.
In the past, no matter what kind of tools we invented, they are just tools which means they can't think by themselves. However, AI is a fundamentally different thing which may has its own mind and motivation. In other words, AI may be the first thing we created with its own intelligence and spirit.
AI is not only an opportunity but also a challenge. Every time in the long history of human beings, when new tools were invented, there were always some people who were replaced by the new tools. That happened to a lot of textile workers when steam engine came out, and the same story between automobiles and horse-drawn vehicle drivers.So, there are definitely and inevitably, a lot of workers especially the ones so-called white collars would be affected by the implementation of AI technology whose efficiency is far-more than human workers.
In a word, I do believe that AI is so profoundly important to human beings that it will influence so many people in modern society.Everybody needs to be careful and alarming to AI and learns how to use it instead of being replaced.
