Summary
In this chapter, Amir and his father escaped to Fremont for about two years, at first , his father worked in a gas station, but he cannot adjust the America life,there is always a paragraph vividly shows their life,that is "For me, America was a place to bury my memories,for baba , a place to mourn his ." during this time , Amir was graduated from high school and successfully entered in a junior college to pursue his dream of writing, to my surprise, his father finally agreed .in 1984 , Amir and father have their own stand at the flea market,in there , Amir encountered his dream lover-Soraya and Amir was obsessed with her.
小结:阿米尔和爸爸逃难的过程充满艰辛，到达美国后爸爸也一直未能完全融入其中，怀念家乡，怀念哈桑父子，而阿米尔自认为能够逃离过去的记忆，其实也未能如愿，过去的错事一直种在他的内心深处久久不能释怀，这也为后文哈桑的悲惨遭遇埋下的伏笔，然而我在想，如果哈桑成年后收获了幸福生活，阿米尔是否能够感到些许内心的安慰？这不得而知，同时也验证了那句老话，做过的错事就像木桩上的钉子，即使拔掉了也会留有痕迹，无法抹去。对于阿米尔庆幸的是父亲没有过分阻碍他的写作志愿，他也邂逅了梦中情人—将军的女儿。
