This morning, I went out for an early morning run. It was still dark when I went outside. In recent years, since I have to commute more than 30 miles each way from home to my office, I have to leave home early. Otherwise the traffic on the highways would be too congested and dangerous. Then there goes the time for me to exercise in the morning. Even on the weekends, I got used to not running in the morning, I just do it after breakfast.
There are all kinds of theories on what time is the best time of the day to exercise. The consensus was from 5 pm to 7 pm. But in South Florida, that time period is either too hot or we are on the road driving home. This morning I went for a run since I decided to work from home today. I found a quiet road that's away from those lakes since I don't want to take a chance with those alligators in the dark.
You never know when you are going to encounter one. I did see one in a nearby lake on a rainy day when I came back from a running trail. It was big since I saw its head above water that's about two feet long.
I finished a 30 minutes of slow run and felt great. I'm a morning person after all no matter what the theory says. And I feel energetic throughout the day while working.
