I am now in the age when I don't know how to introduce myself to others. Should I call myself a girl? a lady? a woman? a female person? I am so plain that I even can't find an appropriate word to define myself.
So I have tried every sound method to be special. I studied hard in school, read many books , watched highly-appreciated films as well as traveled in holidays. Till now, I find myself a little bit better than before but am still plain. So I keep wondering: what's the matter?
I have read in many books that human's mind plays a most necessary role in personal development. I have been thinking to change the habit of mind. But I failed.
In this morning, Teacher Eric had a short talk with us. He told us the necessity to write articles in English. If you are not required to write formal articles in work or in study everyday, it is enough that you can use English to read English magazines and books, to write a short diary or a comment and to chat with foreigners smoothly.
I, suddenly, understand my problem and change the habit of mind. If writing an excellent English composition represents a higher English level, writing a daily diary means a lower English level accordingly. Presently I only need to write a diary, but I do not write it because I think I can't write it as excellent as a composition.
The idea I have got from this example is that no matter what kind of situation I am in, I am supposed to do my best in my present situation firstly. The higher standard is set for another situation. I do not need it until I am in it. Recognize myself and the present condition and keep move on.
